(I’m the owner of startinchina.com). The whole area around SEG is massive, especially since a few new buildings opened. Some of those shops, especially the ones selling mobiles phones on the way to north, look small from the outside, but inside is a real maze of hundreds of small shops. I don’t really understand why there are so many small component shops; I think those should be moved to less important locations and then just do all the consumer electronics on the first floors.
